I am a dentist When you sign in, you will be prompted to upgrade your account so you can use the new Practice Support Services website. If you have never signed in to the CDA website, and you did not receive a letter from CDA with an "Express Code", call CDA to receive your Express Code.

If you have an Express Code, enter it here. Video demonstration of validation

If you have forgotten your username or password, click here.

I am an office staff member The dentist(s) who owns the office can set you up so you can sign in to the CDA website and manage the office information related to CDAnet and electronic claims, including adding dentists to the office and downloading the CDA Digital ID for dentists (with their permission).

Letter from CDA not received With the exception of some dentists in Ontario, CDA sent letters to all dentists about the new Practice Support Services website. Because Ontario has so many dentists, the letters are being sent in batches—this will be complete by mid-July. Sometimes the address CDA has is not current. The other necessary information is the dentist's unique Express Code. Please contact CDA to retrieve an Express Code.

Practice Support Services Website – Overview

The Practice Support Services website provides self-serve access for dentists and their office staff to manage CDA services such as CDAnet, ITRANS, eReferral and the CDA Digital ID. The first step for dentists is to sign in and be validated – CDA needs to make sure it is the dentist who uses his or her username and password. Once the dentist is signed in, the dentist can invite office staff to the office account and give them permission to manage the office information.

Part of the validation process is the provision of an email address that is validated. Dentists should provide an email address that they personally check. Even is administration is delegated to office staff, the dentist will be updated by email when a CDA Digital ID is downloaded or a new dentist is invited to the office.

Practice Support Services Website – Digital IDs

The ITRANS digital certificate for one of our dentists expired, what do we do? The ITRANS digital certificate needs to be replaced with a CDA Digital ID for the dentist. Following are the steps to get a CDA Digital ID working:

  1. If the CDA Digital ID is needed for ITRANS, upgrade the ITRANS ICA software.
    1. On the computer that sends claims to ITRANS, there is a piece of software called the ICA. This needs to be upgraded to version 2.4 or higher. The software is available here:
    2. Contact your software vendor or the CDA Practice Support Services Help Desk for more information.
  2. On the computer that sends the claims, install the CDA Digital ID Installer.
    1. This software makes in installing the CDA Digital ID much simpler—all that is required is a "secure code" from the CDA website (see below)
    2. Download CDA Digital ID Installer Windows version
    3. Download CDA Digital ID Installer Java (Mac) Version
  3. Have the dentist who needs the CDA Digital ID sign in to the CDA Practice Support Services website
    1. See above under Sign In help.
    2. Click on My CDA Digital ID.
    3. Click Download Digital ID for the office in question.
    4. Agree to the terms of the CDA Digital ID Subscriber Agreement.
    5. Click Install with CDA Digital ID Installer.
    6. Print the page with the "secure code" that is presented, or if you are using the computer that needs the CDA Digital ID, copy the secure code.
  4. Install the CDA Digital ID on the computer that sends claims.
    1. Log in as the user that is logged with claims are sent.
    2. Run the CDA Digital ID Installer software from the Start Menu (Windows) or Desktop (Mac).
    3. Enter the secure code the space provided (click Paste if the code was copied).
    4. Click Submit. The CDA Digital ID will be installed with other needed items.
    5. Note that the secure code is one-time-use. There is no limit on the number of codes a dentist can request.

What if more than one dentist needs the CDA Digital ID? For multiple dentists, you need secure codes for each dentist. With these, you can install the digital IDs one after another. To get secure codes for each dentist, there are two approaches. Either each dentist signs in separately and retrieves their secure code, or each dentist signs in and gives the office owner or administrator permission to download their CDA Digital ID. With those permissions, then the owner dentist or office administrator can retrieve secure codes for all the dentists.

How do I know an ITRANS certificate is expired? The ITRANS digital certificates are valid for two years. Thirty days before an ITRANS digital certificate expires, ITRANS sends an email to the address provided notifying that the certificate is about to expire. If the certificate expires, then when the office tries to send a claim, an error message will be received.
