Account Validation

CDA wants to be sure that your username and password are being used by only you. To verify that it is you who is linked to your account, there is a two-level validation process.

Level 1 validation is based on answering questions about you. This is done online if possible, and if not possible, it is done on the phone with the Practice Support Services Help Desk. Level 1 validation is good for 60 days. After 60 days you won’t be able to access the website without completing Level 2 validation.

Level 2 validation involves uploading two items to CDA:

  • a copy or photo of your dental license/registration with the provincial college, and
  • a copy/photo of government issued ID, such as a driver’s license or passport.

These documents prove to CDA that you, and not someone else, is using the username and password that is linked to your account. These documents are used to verify information such as the spelling of your name, birth date, etc., and then the documents are destroyed.

Only you should use your username and password to access the Practice Support Services website. If you want to have a staff person use the site on your behalf, use the “Add Admin” function to give your staff their own username and password. You will be notified by email of any significant account activity being done on your behalf, such as adding a dentist to your practice or downloading your CDA Digital ID.
